Profile the probes
We profiled 77 new fluorescent probes from commercial and academic groups, using publications, application notes, public databases, and company websites.
A global biomedical technology company wanted an up-to-date view of fluorescent dye innovation from companies and research labs. We tracked the new probes and players and showed the client which competitors and threats mattered most.
The client is a global biomedical technology company with a strong interest in fluorescent probes and dyes for biological imaging. It engaged Prescouter through a Research Support Service project to review key commercial and academic activity in fluorescent dye technology over the past six years.
Prescouter was asked to gather detailed information on new fluorescent probes and dyes used in biological imaging, such as flow cytometry, microscopy, and ELISA.
New dyes developed by small companies, startups, and academic researchers.
Specific performance figures for each technology, captured in one matrix.
Companies backed by Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) awards in the past six years.
We profiled 77 new fluorescent probes from commercial and academic groups, using publications, application notes, public databases, and company websites.
Patents were reviewed alongside the technical sources to show where protected innovation was taking place.
An analysis of SBIR awards from the past six years identified 60 companies developing new dye technologies and solutions.
Prescouter delivered a technology matrix with performance benchmarks for each dye, plus a report with the key conclusions. The work gave the client up-to-date information on the competitors and threats critical to its business plans.
Performance benchmarks for each new probe captured in one place.
Commercial and academic groups whose work could threaten the client’s position.
Companies backed by recent SBIR awards that are developing new dye solutions.
New dyes appear in papers, patents, and grant awards long before they reach a catalog. Tracking all three shows you who is coming next.
